Junior or Medior Security Engineer – RPx & WAF
Division: Information SecurityLocation : Brussels, HybridJoin a leading organization at the heart of global financial services, where safeguarding information and assets is at the core of our operations. We are looking for a talented Junior/Medior Security Engineer to strengthen our Platform Security team within the Information Security division. This team ensures the deployment and management of advanced technical solutions to protect critical applications effectively.Your RoleAs a Junior/Medior Security Engineer specializing in Reverse Proxies (RPx) and Web Application Firewalls (WAF), you will:

• Install, support, and maintain reverse proxies, forward proxies, and WAFs.
• Contribute to both security and business-related projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving security solutions.
• Participate in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Once fully onboarded, take part in a rotating 24/7 on-call duty pool.

What You Need to SucceedTechnical Skills (Must-Haves):

• Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems (e.g., RedHat).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including the OSI model.
• Experience with reverse proxies (e.g., Apache HTTPD).
• Hands-on knowledge of SSL/TLS integration.
• Foundational knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Scripting and automation expertise.
• Experience with authentication technologies (e.g., SAML, OAuth).
• Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management.
• Cloud WAF solutions (Azure, others) or Cloudflare experience.
• Basic development skills in Python (other programming languages are a plus).

• Ability to gain a high-level understanding before diving into detailed analysis.
