The School and RoleAn SEN school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with special educational needs.The school plays a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant is a dedicated professional who works closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment tailored to each pupil’s individual requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, providing one-on-one support, helping to develop social skills, and implementing personalised learning strategies. The SEN Teaching Assistant fosters a nurturing atmosphere, encourages student independence, and collaborates with parents and specialists to track progress and adapt learning approaches, ensuring every child can thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences
• Assist students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
• Help create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers

What We’re Looking For:

• A compassionate and patient individual with a genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs
• Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A positive attitude and a desire to make a difference
