About the role as Senior Accountant Benelux:Performs a variety of complex duties in general accounting and financial planning such as analyzing accounts and cost centers, preparing reports, performing monthly financial close and statutory reporting activities, external and internal reporting, monitoring internal control requirements, supporting financial analysts’ team and active participation in the project of transferring the entity from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA. Measures performance against key performance indicators, and continually identifies ways to improve and streamline processes.Your key responsibilities will include:

• Oversee financial and accounting process and work closely together with finance and sales teams, with a high focus on regional Belgium/Benelux specifics.

• Perform various duties and tasks related to AtR activities, including support the team with month end closing activities.

• Prepare monthly/quarterly tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.

• Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory regulations.

• Support with statutory audits and fillings for Belgium/Benelux entities.

• Work closely with other team members to support internal and external audits.

• Offer support and guidance during various internal queries and projects.

• Document the work being done during the audits and support implementing improvements and savings where possible.

• Actively participate in the SAP transition project and support other team members involved in it.
• Optimize current financial accounting process in coordination with stakeholders.
• Drive compliance in all finance-related matters and ensure compliance with Corporate and local policies, statutory requirements and GAAP principles.
• Apply LEAN methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
• Identify and implement process improvement and standardization.
• Ensure all activities comply with legal demands, ethical standards and the Internal Quality Management System

Who are we looking for

• Bachelor Financial accounting or Business Economics or equivalent level
• 5+ years’ experience in relevant financial field with a strong focus on local accounting rules and regulations
• SAP experience, experience with S4 HANA is a plus.

• Fluent in English, additional language capabilities are a plus
• Strong verbal & written communication skills and focus on building relationships
• Self-motivated yet team player and takes ownership in all responsibilities
• Change agent that focuses on a high level of quality
• Continuous Improvement and analytical mindset
