Role Summary

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career with the experience of working with a global technology company. The Senior Accountant role will be part of the EMEA Revenue Accounting team and report to the Revenue Accounting Lead. The main purpose of this job is to provide timely and accurate monthly accounting and management reporting information under IFRS and statutory reporting under local accounting standards.

The Main Responsibilities

-Monthly accounting and management reporting responsibilities under IFRS
-Preparation of monthly revenue variance commentary for a portfolio of customers
-Close liaison with FP&A to assist with commentary against prior periods for key accounting areas
-Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as per the Group timetable
-Providing support to the annual IFRS audit and quarterly review processes as well as Local GAAP audits
-Working with Internal Audit on queries; with Billing / Collections and AR to ensure consistency of accounting and clean balance sheet monthly positions
-Identifying efficiencies and automation opportunities. Working closely with team members, broader Finance teams and partners to deliver these improvements / the change management aspect of these initiatives
What We Look for in a Candidate

Minimum Requirements:-

•           3+ years of experience within similar sized entities or from an accounting firm

•           Microsoft Office – intermediate or advanced Excel

•           Strong knowledge of core accounting principles

•           Proven process improvement experience

•           Commercially astute, with good planning / organising skills. High attention to detail with a motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a desire to grow in a real team environment that has a flat structure

Preferred Requirements:-

•           IFRS or US GAAP reporting experience would be an advantage

•           Experience of SAP, Oracle or of other large ERP systems

•           Revenue accounting experience would be an advantage but is not essential
