An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Musculoskeletal Health Team at the Medical Research Council Lifecourse Epidemiology Centre (MRC LEC), University of Southampton. The MRC LEC mission is to promote human health using lifecourse epidemiological methods, integrating observational evidence, understanding of mechanism and implementation of intervention studies. 

The MRC LEC, University of Southampton, is at the international forefront of musculoskeletal epidemiology, with full MRC funding secured 2021 to 2026. It has an internationally competitive track record in both observational and intervention studies, and well-established links with the University’s Institute of Developmental Science, NIHR Nutrition Biomedical Research Centre and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.  

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing administrative support for the management of the Hertfordshire Cohort Study Intergenerational Study; literature searches and preparation of manuscripts and presentations; preparation of applications for funding, liaison with other research groups and collaborators, amongst other research administration duties.

The appointment is for one year in the first instance with possible extension.
