From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.The Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation ( ), in line with the strategic objectives of the Secretary General, helps OECD member countries and other key economies build an environment conducive to creating and translating science and technology into innovation to generate economic and social value added.The Science and Technology Policy Division (STP) within STI is responsible for informing and promoting evidence-based policies that (i) encourage cooperation among OECD Members Countries and with Partners, (ii) support good policy practices and analysis in areas such as human resource development and mobility; the strengthening of links between research, higher education and innovation; national and regional research and innovation systems; mission oriented research and innovation policies; policies that promote inclusivity, and policies for anticipatory governance of emerging technologies, and (iii) help policymakers reorient STI systems towards addressing global challenges.STP is responsible for implementing the programme of work of the Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy (CSTP), including its Working Party of National Experts on Science and Technology Indicators (NESTI). Key outputs under the aegis of NESTI include internationally adopted measurement guidance on R&D and innovation (the Frascati and Oslo Manuals), the OECD Main Science and Technology Indicators, OECD statistics and analysis monitoring the incidence and impact of public support for R&D and innovation, the STI.Scoreboard Platform and the new Research and Innovation Careers Observatory.STP is looking for a Senior Analyst to spearhead several of the division’s statistical development and monitoring activities under NESTI oversight, contributing to their effective modernistation.
