Senior Assistant Sleep Physiologist

This is a development post: The successful candidate will be hired under a fixed-term contract as Trainee Sleep Physiologist (Band 4) whilst completing a training programme, which will include in-house competencies and a level 6 apprenticeship in Clinic Physiology in Respiratory and Sleep Sciences. The candidate will automatically be progressed into a permanent post as a Band 5 Sleep Physiologist upon completion of the training. This role will allow you to start a career in sleep medicine, by participating in the set up and reporting of sleep diagnostic tests, as well as, in establishing and supporting patients on long-term CPAP therapy.

What we’re looking for

Previous relevant experience knowledge in sleep sciences will be valued, but not essential. You will have the ability to work flexibly, be proactive and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be based at Lymington New Forest Hospital and may be required to cover other UHS sites and do shift work, when required. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is essential.
