Overview:As a Senior Business Analyst within the IP Development team, you will play a critical role in defining, refining, and translating business needs into actionable requirements. Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Development teams, you will lead the analysis and discovery process, translating complex problems into clear, prioritised requirements and driving alignment across product, design, and engineering. Your work will directly influence the delivery of high-quality, impactful solutions that meet customer needs and support the broader product strategy. Responsibilities:

• Elicit and document detailed requirements from stakeholders at multiple levels, ensuring strategic and delivery alignment.
• Take ownership of complex problem areas, leading discovery and analysis efforts across domains.
• Refine user stories with clear, measurable success criteria to guide development and ensure testability.
• Break down high-level requirements into structured epics, stories, and tasks, ensuring traceability to business outcomes.
• Lead and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement validation meetings, balancing multiple perspectives.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Scrum Masters, and Engineering leads to shape product direction and delivery plans.
• Provide thought leadership in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and process improvement initiatives.
• Champion a user-centred approach while ensuring technical feasibility and strategic fit.
• Support stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and go-to-market readiness where needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Senior or Lead Business Analyst role, ideally in software or digital product teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Strong background in leading discovery phases, facilitating workshops, and influencing product strategy.
• Expertise in user story creation, backlog refinement, and requirements documentation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with executive-level engagement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience in modelling business processes and translating them into technical requirements.
• Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating closely with Scrum Masters, Product Managers, Developers, and Designers.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
• Ability to coach or mentor junior BAs or contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis practices.
