Our client, a global leader in the chemical industry, is seeking a proactive Senior Chemist to start in a newly built lab in the Antwerp region. Known for their commitment to innovation, this organization excels in research and development in surfactants so you can use your expertise and help to build a bigger team in this lab and take on management responsibilities in the future.

Role Responsibilities:

* Fully competent chemist in all aspects requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Requires sufficient professional experience to devise new approaches to problems and situations.
* Work in small to medium projects around their lab focus area to attend clients’ needs.
* Drive Innovation and R&D Initiatives: Lead cross-functional teams to identify, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions aligned with strategic goals.

Requirements:

* A degree (MS, BS, or Associate’s) in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science, offering varied opportunities to excel in the chemical industry.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in surfactants and R&D laboratory work.
* Strong proficiency in laboratory safety principles
* Fluent level of Dutch and English
