Senior Clinical Research Dental Nurse

The Dental Clinical Trials unit conducts clinical trials of dental interventions and studies to investigate the prevalence of dental conditions as well as lab based dental research. The unit is recruiting a dental nurse, the senior dental nurse in the team to help co-ordinate dental clinical trials and take the lead in organising and overseeing all the clinical aspects of clinical studies including supervising/training more junior dental nurses.

The post holder will be responsible for organising all clinical aspects of studies involving patients/healthy volunteers. They will provide draft clinical study protocols working with the group lead and other senior staff members, advising on the practicalities of administering interventions and data/sample collection and preparing ethics documentation once clinical protocols are finalised. They will also design documents to capture source data for clinical studies. They will ensure more junior dental nurses are fully trained in clinical and non-clinical study responsibilities.

You should apply if

  • You have experience of dental clinical trials
  • You are a dental nurse and currently GDC registered, can be re-registered within 6 months
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are able to work well under pressure

Salary: 32,982 to 37,732 pa
