• Evaluate the Project’s architecture and identify opportunities for broadening the scope of the solution.
• Be self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and an excellent team player, and be prepared to work in a global virtual team along with NY and offshore team members.
• Work with senior Business Partners and Program Management team to deliver the solution.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality.
• Ensure adherence to the standard SDLC processes.
• Ensure all Technology and Information Risk guidelines are followed.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Work with application support teams to ensure timely issue resolution and thorough support processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of development experience in a high paced, pressure-oriented environment.
• Full software development life cycle experience.
• Expert at Java, Kafka, MQ and RESTful API’s.
• Experience testing software (e.g. unit testing, testing frameworks).
• Comfortable with source control tools, preferably Git.
• Experience with web service development and Services Oriented Architecture.
• Experience working with Agile development teams at scale.
• Good communication skills (both written and oral), listening skills, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience with performance tuning, trouble shooting and remediation.
• Experience in the financial domain and understanding of portfolio management functions.
• Ability to develop and follow change management processes for consistent and maintainable versions.
• Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks.

• Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
