POSITION OVERVIEW:The Senior Director of Total Rewards for EMEA will lead the strategic design and operational execution of McCormick’s Total Rewards programs for EMEA employees. This role involves developing and implementing competitive compensation and benefits strategies that align with our global framework while ensuring regional relevance and compliance. Reporting to the VP of Global Total Rewards, the ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with deep expertise in EMEA compensation, benefits, and regulatory environments, and a strong ability to drive execution in a complex, global organization.KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Strategy and Design of Regional Total Rewards Programs
  • Develop and execute a total rewards strategy for EMEA that aligns with global business goals and addresses regional market dynamics.
  • Advise senior leadership on market trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices as the EMEA total rewards expert.
  • Align compensation and benefits programs with talent acquisition, management, retention, and engagement objectives to drive strategic workforce planning
  • Compensation & Benefits Execution
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and governance of regional compensation structures, incentive programs, and salary administration practices.
  • Collaborate with external brokers and global HR teams to design and manage region-specific benefits offerings, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with local laws.
  • Manage and optimize retirement and pension programs across the region, ensuring statutory compliance and competitiveness.
  • Partner with legal, finance, and HR teams to manage risk, oversee audits, implement controls, and lead due diligence and integration efforts for M&A activities.
  • Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing total rewards delivery team and drive best in class delivery of global compensation processes (including annual compensation cycle, market reward surveys and job evaluation)
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, finance, and business leaders to drive alignment and operational excellence.
  • Use data analytics and external benchmarking to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all EU and national legislation related to pay, equity and transparency across the EMEA region.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in HR, business, finance, or another related area of study OR equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ more years supporting complex Total Rewards programs for global, public companies with significant leadership experience in an international/global role.
  • Deep expertise in EMEA compensation and benefits frameworks, including statutory requirements, tax implications and market trends.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business impact.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial acumen, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Provan experience of inspiring and motivating a high-performing team or teams.
  • Experience leading and influencing within a matrixed, global organization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in a multi-country region, as well as working with multicultural and remote teams.
