In this role, you will have the opportunity to take a leading position within the team and use your technical expertise to guide and develop others. You will act as a support for your supervisors and Level V engineers to lead by example, playing the pivotal role of coach to those who need it on the team.Alongside this, your responsibilities are to maintain and ensure the technical operation of all key infrastructure within the Equinix data centres, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out in a timely and correct manner. You will work closely with subcontractors and be a point of technical reference for those around you.If you are a motivated and focused engineer who thrives on change and is looking to inspire and support others, this is the perfect opportunity for you.ResponsibilitiesActing as a support to tasks delegated by your supervisors managerBeing a point of contact for others taking onboard others different needs and communication stylesMaintenance of the Technical Facility Management infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, security, control systems, fire and security systems)Monitoring alarms and responding to notificationsPerforming preventive and corrective maintenanceAnalyzing failures and proposing improvements to increase infrastructure availabilityTaking proactive actions and documenting work orders in the Asset Management System (Maximo)Operating the technical infrastructure safely and efficientlyParticipating in various projects from modification to new construction, including drafting technical specifications, evaluating quotes, and providing advice for contract awardsCoordinating work according to Equinix proceduresProviding daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to the Technical Facility ManagerTraining new employees and sharing knowledge within the CFE teamSupporting new installations (customer installations)Ensuring procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of serviceQualificationsMinimum completed MBO education (preferably in a technical field)Keen to upskill and develop leadership qualitiesDemonstrable work experience as a maintenance technician, facility manager, or service engineerProficiency in both Dutch and English (spoken and written) preferredService-oriented and solution-focusedWillingness to work on-call shiftsWhat We Offer:A competitive salary based on knowledge and experience.27 days of leave with the option to purchase 3 additional days.An opportunity to learn and in a supportive environment!Employee Stock Purchase Plan and Company Pension PlanSubsidised lunch provided on location (voluntary opt in)Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
