Together with you we want to support the energy market of the future; we will:

• Build forecasting models for natural gas and power portfolios
• Analyse Energy portfolio risks and seek for risk mitigation techniques
• Work cross-commodity, i.e. on power and natural gas supply & demand side projects.
• Understand the renewable energy impact as well as the conventional energy value chaing and deduce relevant conclusions to support a stable and renewable energy market in Europe.
• Use Excel, Python, PowerBI, Powerpoint and other tools to gather, prepare, analyse the energy market and present our results
• Present and discuss your results
• Mentor a junior team member we are currently seeking

Requirements

• University background in a quantitative or economic field (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
• In-depth understanding of the mechanisms of the European energy market and a strong interested of staying at the forefront of future developments of conventional and alternative energies (power-to-x, batteries, hydrogen, …)
• You feel comfortable handling stochastic processes, e.g. geometric brownian motion & ornstein-uhlenbeck processes
• You have a hands-on attitude (yes, there will also be csv files), and
• you are strong in preparing and presenting structured data analyses (powerpoint, python, numpy, plotly, …)
• Business fluency in English is a must; knowledge of/ interest in learning another European language very welcome
• Ability to work in a hybrid/ remote setup [we love it, but not everybody is made for it] and ideally you have worked in such a setup before
