Senior Environmental Counsel M/W

Position based in Paris 15, with international travel.

Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will work in close collaboration with other lawyers in the Division and subsidiaries, the Group Environmental Department, the Group Industrial Department and the industrial managers of the Divisions and subsidiaries.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

• In environmental law, legal support for various Group site classification files, impact studies, environmental guarantees in the event of sale or acquisition, as well as support for REACH files, and monitoring of the environmental liabilities of Group sites and entities.
• Analysis and advice on mining law (New Caledonia, Gabon, Argentina and Senegal). Legal watch, monitoring of the portfolio of mining titles in liaison with the Divisions and operational managers (subsidiaries and projects), in particular for optimal management of administrative procedures to safeguard the Group’s mining assets.

Your Profile:

• Master 2 Environmental Law, Mining Law, Administrative Law and Litigation,
• Minimum 8 to 12 years’ experience in a similar position in industry,
• Fluent English (written and spoken). Spanish would be a plus.
• Ability to work not only in a French context (including New Caledonia), but also in an international context in countries where the Group is present (Gabon, Senegal, Indonesia, USA, Argentina, Norway).
