Position: Senior Facilities Support Assistant 

Location: Blavatnik School of Government or the ROQ Site, Oxford 

Grade: Grade 5 (£28,759 – £33,966)

Role Overview: 

As a Senior Facilities Support Assistant, you will be a crucial part of our Facilities team. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, your responsibilities will include supervising tasks, ensuring smooth event execution, providing support and advice, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to building assistants 

  • Provide exceptional customer service to building users 

  • Collaborate with contractors and contract cleaners 

  • Assist in planning and executing office moves and projects 

  • Prepare and set up venues for lectures and events 

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment 

  • Act as a Fire Marshal and respond to emergencies 

  • Support maintenance schedules and health and safety standards 

  • Carry out reception duties and handle post and goods 

Selection Criteria

  • Proven experience in building maintenance and customer service 

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise a team 

  • Practical DIY skills and understanding of health and safety regulations 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic IT skills 

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written 

  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
