We are currently seeking applications for a Senior GSC Planning COE Technical Manager II. This role can be located at our Galway, Cork or Clonmel sites.

Purpose

rimary
focus
of this role
is to ensure the
continuity,
reliability,
extendibility,
and scalability of the Rapid Response
(RR)
technology
critical to
our supply chain planning and operations.
Apply architecture concepts and able to understand business challenges and recommend best practices and collaborate across multiple business partners, enterprise architecture, and cross-functional teams
(GSC planning COE workstream leads)
to meet business needs and deliver
value across
the supply
chain planning solutions
spanning:
Demand planning (including statistical/consensus forecasting) s
upply planning, capacity planning (constraints),
PP&S,
MRP,
DRP, MEIO,
and
SI&OP.
This person will also work closely with IT Partners
supporting platforms that are
critical t
o
da
ta ingestion
and stability of the solution
(Middleware, SAP
, MES, reporting and analytics,

etc.
)
.
This person
is expected to be
Innovative, technically savvy, and can apply functional knowledge and IT architecture principles to
identify
and evaluate alternative solutions.
The position will also
be responsible for
staffing, leading, and developing a team of
Technical and
Business Process Analysts that will support and enhance the supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Planning Center of Excellence (COE) team to sustain service execution and facilitation of
maintaining
and scaling our technical solutions to support the GSC planning organization
.    

-People leadership, coaching and mentorship 

-Develop the overall
technology
strategy,
objectives
& long-range goals for the
team 

-Support
functional workstream
s
in refining requirements
to complete gap assessments
versus existing solutions
,
inform
,
consult
and
d
evelop solutions to technical problems by challenging traditional technical assumptions
on creative design approaches and plans while
maintaining
best practices. 

-Review and approve design solutions
to ensure that the configuration of Rapid Response interfaces, data models,
analytics
and customizations, supports the business process requirements
with focus on innovation.  

-Construct a system that enables the team to effectively c
reate, document, train and
consult the
data cleansing,
harmonization,
transformation rules process
es
to
ensure the successful implementation and remediation (for new ERPs, new acquisitions, sites,

etc
.) of Rapid Response
ensur
ing
that the solution is producing the expected results. 

-Consult on
testing strategy with functional workstream leads and

cross functional team for strategic projects
. Support technical and UAT testing aligned with testing strategy. 

-Provide support on issues before, during, and after deployment
and partner to
identify
long term solutions, reducing system/integration instability.
Troubleshoot, diagnose
,
and
r
ecognize
possible or existing
architectural problem areas and
determine
ways to effectively
control and
resolve them.  

-Collaborate with the SI&OP, RR Demand, RR Distribution, IS
, SAP, MES,
Magellan
and other functions to define and implement end to end process improvements opportunities. 

-Create
and drive
a system to enable
business process solutions, design, development, testing, change control,
deployment, and adoption of enhancements.

onsult and support regional, divisional, functional projects and initiatives
including w
orking with
workstream leads to
develop
functional
roadmap accounting
for
and prioritizi
ng
new solution capabilities and
sustaining projects (
i.e.
system upgrades) 

-Construct a system that s
upport

and strengthen

technical knowledge base across the organization
including
maintain
ing
documentation and
deliver
ing communications and/or training to
GSC Planning COE RR Support team members
and highly integrated partners. 

-Support
our
system administration
,
analysts
and technical support team
in resolving user system and process issues.
Lead the team through scoping and prioritizing technical solutions that will help us ensure scalability for the future.  

-Foster a community of supply chain plann
ing COE
that shares best practices and drives innovative ideas for further improving our planning processes. 

-Decision and action item tracking 

-Ensure all actions, items agreed are closed on time, in full and on budget. 

-Schedule Creation and Management 

-Manag

the
vendors and
RFP/SOW process working closely with global sourcing and other internal stakeholders.  

Qualifications 
 

Required:

-Bachelor’s
degree in
computer science,
Supply Chain
, Manufacturing,
Business,
IS or related field
s

-7-
10
+ years of experience
in Information Technology projects
, covering the Supply Chain Planning related
technologies
.,
strong knowledge of concurrent planning systems, integrations (SAP) and Rapid Response 

-5+ years of people management experience 

-Recognize depth of knowledge in Supply chain planning
solutions
.  

-Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners. 

-Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships 

-Proficiency
in organizing information effectively for presentation.  

-Able to communicate
technical
concepts to IT and non-IT audiences.  

-Highly adaptable,
flexible
and willing to accept
new ideas
, processes, and procedures.  

-Strong project management and leadership skills  

-Strong analytical

problem-solving skills.  

-Detail oriented and organized. Performs to
a high level
of accuracy in all tasks. 

-The job requires 10% travel to visit
BSC sites. 

Preferred qualifications:

-Master’s degree in
business, supply chain,
IS, statistics, mathematics,
economics
or related field. 

-APICS certification  

-Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry.  

-Understand key milestones for realistic progress towards a target future state.
