This is the perfect opportunity to join my client, a trusted, industry-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for their expertise across the civil and structural engineering landscapes, with a passion for sustainability. They are seeking a driven, experienced Senior Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based in the lively unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

* Working on a range of Flood Risk, Surface Water, and Drainage projects for public and private clients
* Contributing to River Restoration and Flood Alleviation projects
* Completing Flood Risk Assessments for Zones 1, 2, and 3
* Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies
* Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling, using the appropriate software (including TuFlow and Flood Modeller)
* Putting together Residential Drainage and Sewerage designs, using Causeway Flow and MicroDrainage across a number of projects
* Submitting Drainage Area Plans

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

* A Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
* Demonstrable experience of having worked for a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority, in a design role
* Extensive experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Hydraulic Modelling
* Excellent working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, and Causeway Flow
* Good communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

* Experience completing Drainage Designs
* Hold Chartership Status, or actively working to attain this
* Previous experience of having lead design projects and/or a team
* Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
