Coventry University has been ranked joint first amongst Modern Universities in England for career prospects and we are in the top 6 universities for student experience. Our commitment to providing the best for our students doesn’t stop with them, it starts with our people. Without our dedicated teams, we wouldn’t be ranked so highly or have won any of our numerous awards.

We are one of the largest employers in Coventry and we offer our people a place to belong and an organisation to be proud of.

The University Library is seeking a proactive, highly motivated individual to join the Flying Start team in the role of Senior Information Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to provide operational support and drive engagement with the University’s Flying Start scheme in support of the University’s Widening Participation agenda.

You will liaise with course teams and our e-book platform provider (BibliU) for collation of order requirements, assisting in the timely delivery of resources across the University Group, enhancing the student learning experience. You will be confident in delivering training to customers to drive engagement with learning resources provided by Flying Start.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as numeracy skills will be key requirements, whilst attention to detail inputting data and preparation of the Flying Start eBook order will also be essential.

Confidence with technology particularly Microsoft packages such as Excel, and the desire to provide an excellent service to our customers are the key attributes required. As the first point of contact for student queries, demonstrable commitment to high levels of customer service is essential.

This is a campus-based role at Coventry University Lanchester Library and offered until 31 December 2023, a secondment opportunity will be considered.
