We value our diverse workplace of close-knit teams and provide a place where everyone can be supported to learn and evolve.Job DescriptionARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer for one of its clients, a major financial institution in Brussels.Role & responsibilitiesAs a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will work within the Cash Management development team.Phase I: technical upgrade of a backend application built on top of an enterprise framework using opensource libraries:

• Spring 2 → 5
• Hibernate 3 → 5
• SOAP → REST

Phase II:

• Java upgrade 8 → 21
• Spring 5 → 6
• Hibernate 5 → 6.5

Deliverables:

• Well-commented & tested application code
• Design / technical documentation

QualificationsYour profile

• Knowledge of either French, Dutch, or English is required
• Team player with good communication skills
• Independent developer for most development tasks
• Decent development at a normal speed
• Conform to cross-project and project specific development guidelines
• Able to thrive in a hybrid work environment

Technical skills

• Excellent knowledge of Java & Spring Framework
• Excellent knowledge of Backend technologies (JPA/Hibernate & Spring)
• Good knowledge of Security (OWASP and Spring Security)
• Good knowledge of Remoting (SOAP/RESTful web services, JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Apache CXF, Apache Camel and SoapUI)
• Knowledge of Java batch (with Spring Batch)
• Good knowledge of Test Driven Development (with JUnit & Spring & CI)
• Knowledge of Web Frontend (with JSF, PrimeFaces, Spring WebFlow, Html/CSS, and JavaScript/ Angular)
• Good knowledge of Tooling (with IntelliJ, Svn or Git, Maven, Bamboo and Sonar)
• Good knowledge of Oracle
• Good knowledge of Application Design
• Good knowledge of SOAP endpoints design (Web services, versioning)
• Good knowledge of of RESTful endpoints design (HTTP methods, urls, versioning, json, metadata and documentation)
• Good knowledge of Scrum/Kanban (team work oriented)
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML & documentation practices (deliverables oriented)
• At least 6 months of Coaching Experience
