The Senior Lecturer role (CLS, Academic Programmes) offers an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit academic community, further develop a strong research profile, and support students across a range of programmes, within one of London’s leading Law Schools.Read the Candidate Pack and JD for detailed information.ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates will have a track record of publishing internationally leading research outputs, with an outstanding reputation in their own subject area. They will have the capacity to make major contributions to research, education and the student experience in the Department. They will have experience teaching diverse student groups, expertise in core or specialist areas of law, and the ability to del iver research-informed education. Candidates should be able to demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and collegiality, with the ability to contribute to play a major role in academic administration, research funding and the broader academic community.Person SpecificationCandidates must hold a First Degree in Law (or equivalent) and a PhD in a relevant field with a strong track record of research publications and evidence of leadership in academic research. They must demonstrate evidence of engagement with the dimensions of the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in Higher Education, and evidence of meeting the Descriptor 2 criteria for Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellow level. Strong subject knowledge in core or specialist areas of law is essential along with experience in teaching undergraduate cohorts.
