What your future may holdAs a Senior Legal Counsel at ScioTeq, you will focus on supporting the company’s AD&S (Air Traffic Control, Defense and Security) business unit on commercial, corporate & insurance matters. You will work closely with the sales department, program managers, and business unit leads. Your main responsibilities will be:

• negotiating, drafting, and reviewing (inter)national commercial contracts with global clients and suppliers;
• doing the corporate housekeeping of ScioTeq’s Belgian entities (preparing the annual shareholders meetings, etc.);
• negotiating and reviewing insurance policies and handling insurance claims;
• participating in key strategic exercises, business development, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions;
• maintaining and disseminating legal information and contract models, developing legal policies and processes aimed at minimising the company’s risks;
• organising and providing internal training on relevant legal topics to various stakeholders;
• providing guidance, advice and support to the Board of Directors, executive management and business operations and functional groups.

You will report to the Vice President Finance, IT, Legal & Trade Compliance.Your skillset

• You hold a Master’s degree in Law;
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international law firm or as an in-house counsel in an international company;
• A strong command of commercial contract law and (an interest in) corporate law in the broad sense (e.g. corporate housekeeping, M&A, insurance law);
• Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Dutch or French is considered a strong asset;
• You can work both autonomously and as part of a team, are stress-resistant and can set priorities;
• You have strong communication skills;
