EY is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Business Consulting to join our EU Institutions division, with specific focus on Aerospace and Defence. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead, drive, and expand our consulting services within the public sector. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on business transformation initiatives and developing innovative strategies within the ever-evolving European public sector landscape.Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Space and Defence team within the EU Account and develop strategic plans to drive growth within EY Business Consulting/Public Sector.
• Build, manage, and cultivate relationships with public sector clients to offer business transformation advice and solutions.
• Conduct detailed policy studies, including impact assessments, evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, market forecast.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to stay abreast of and anticipate public sector trends and changes, proactively advising clients accordingly.
• Develop and implement robust business transformation frameworks, policies, and processes.
• Mentor, inspire, and manage a high-performance team to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Your ProfileYou have:

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within consulting in the field of space and defense.
• Proven track record in developing and executing strategic business transformation programs.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of public sector frameworks and operations.
• Strong business development acumen with a demonstrated ability to grow business within the public sector, including wide European bid management expertise.
• Skills in leadership, client service, risk management, project management, and team collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Current knowledge of Space and Defence technology and market trends and regulations affecting the public sector, with the ability to anticipate changes that may impact clients.

• Study on supporting the technology and market monitoring of downstream space, creating the GNSS and EO Market Report (

) and developing a conceptual framework for measuring the benefits of the EU Space Programme, for EUSPA * Study on supporting the analysis of opportunities and barriers for the uptake of EU space services and the development of the EU Space Strategy, for DG DEFIS

• Evaluation study on the European Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation for addressing Global Challenges and Industrial Competitiveness – Focus on activities for the Digital and Industrial Transition, for DG RTD
• Study on Union of equality: EU defence, aeronautics and space sectors, for DG DEFIS
• European 5G Observatory, Phase III, for DG CNCT
• Study on the current and prospective use of the 900 MHz band by GSM as a technology of reference, considering present and future Union policies, for DG CNCT
• Socio-economic Impact Assessment of ESA’s Technology Programmes: General Support Technology Programme (GSTP) and Technology Research Programme (TRP), for the European Space Agency
