Whether you’re focused on high science, strategy or team management, we will be with you every step of the way.The role will involve

• Producing accurate, concise, and insightful material across a wide range of project types, adapting writing style for different audiences and formats.
• Researching, interpreting, and integrating scientific data from multiple sources, and fact-checking to ensure delivery to the highest scientific standards.
• Effective interaction with clients, thought leaders and external teams, and providing on-site or virtual medical writing support for meetings.
• Adept use of PowerPoint to create and edit slides with varying complexity, creativity, and visual impact.
• Creation of scientific content for a variety of commercial and medical affairs projects including videos, social media posts, training platforms, events and various communications resources.
• Taking leadership in team projects, and collaborating to meet agreed timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Performing internal review of materials for scientific content, appropriate style, accuracy and meeting the project’s goals.
• Proactive collaboration with internal colleagues from various functions including the Content, Account Management and Creative teams
• Providing line management to a junior medical writer is a possibility.
• Providing input to business development activities and generating ideas for new and enhanced products and services.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience

• Proven medical writing experience in medical communications, medical education or healthcare advertising.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Enthusiasm for communicating science to the ultimate benefit of patients.
• A life science degree, or equivalent, is essential; higher degrees are desirable.
• Prior experience in the fields of cardiology, metabolic diseases, oncology, neurology and ophthalmology would be advantageous.
