We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.This is a permanent, full time position.The shift pattern for this position is to be arranged.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacy support worker to join the Glasgow City HSCP Primary Care Pharmacy team.As a key member of the Prescribing Support Team you will assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians by undertaking routine tasks. Some of these tasks may require a moderate degree of technical expertise. You will also be required to discuss use of medicines over the phone with patients. Following standard operating procedures, you will coordinate the collection of information, input and analyse data, update clinical records as appropriate and collate information in support of quality medication reviews.This role will include working with the GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve supporting delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines.
