Position Summary
You will be part of the Systems & Payment Product management team in the EMEA region. You will be responsible for managing the current and future hardware product lines of the Systems & Payment Business Unit and ensuring that our products meet current and future market and customer needs. Typical products today are (outdoor) payment terminals and Point-of-Sales and forecourt control hardware. These are currently produced in our factories in Bladel (NL) and Dundee (UK).
As a Sr. Product Manager, your goal is to translate customers’ needs or market trends into new or improved products in close collaboration with the related Sales and Engineering teams. You will have ownership during the full product life cycle from initiation to end of life.
Key Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Drive product development and manage the main product portfolio of hardware products within the Systems & Payment Business Unit
-Work closely with the product management team and engineering teams to align product family development, vision, the voice of the market, competitive analysis into new product and product enhancement decisions, development and delivery
-Work closely with operations to ensure a successful introduction in the production environment, including the readiness of product configurator tools (ordering tools), and with marketing and commercial teams to ensure a successful launch of new products into the market
-Provide a long-term vision, roadmaps and positioning for the hardware platforms, services and capabilities
-Leading and defining projects (and product requirements) from A to Z (cost, timing, deliverables) in collaboration with engineering teams, commercial teams, distributors and customers
-Coordinate product certification and compliance activities and m
onitor product quality
-Drive product cost (out), margin and price analysis, in cooperation with finance, sourcing and engineering
-Production monitoring & analysis, monitoring
the supply chain overview and developing
& maintaining product documentation
-You are part of a multifunctional team with a broad range of responsibilities, a high degree of flexibility in your daily work is required
Profile
-Master’s degree or Bachelor’s (Electro)mechanics with 5–10 years of business experience, in a mixed commercial & technical environment
-Possess a unique blend of business and technical knowledge with the ability to articulate the business case for the products
-Experience in product management within a manufacturing environment, project management or business management would be an advantage
-Good sense of business commerce (understanding financials and market problems)
-Understand & assess the competition and set a strategy against them to win
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Creative and analytical thinker,
process-minded (product development processes)
-Customer-driven and
able to work with deadlines in a dynamic project-based environment
-Great team player and able to work independently
-Fluent in English and Dutch with good presentation skills
