Job Title: Senior Java Programmer
Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid 1 day onsite in Chamartín, rest remote)Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Programmer to join an ongoing digital transformation project in the
public sector. This role requires strong hands-on experience in backend and frontend development using Java
technologies, along with knowledge of web services, database interaction, reporting tools, and modern DevOps
practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code in
an agile environment.Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications using Java and the Spring Framework.
Design and implement web services (SOAP and/or REST).
Manage database interactions using Oracle DB, JPA, and/or Hibernate.
Support front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and optionally jQuery, AJAX, or Bootstrap.
Generate reports using Oracle Reports, JasperReports, or similar tools.
Conduct software testing and quality assurance using JUnit, Selenium, SonarQube, or comparable tools.
Configure deployments on WebLogic, Tomcat, or similar application servers.
Use version control systems such as Git and/or Apache Subversion (SVN).
Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, or Artifactory.
Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver on project milestones.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
Proficiency with the Spring Framework, web services, and Java persistence APIs.
Strong experience in software testing, report generation, and frontend technologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems.
Comfortable deploying applications in complex environments.
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
