Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Project ManagerSalary: Up to £75,000 (DOE)Location: Southampton and SurroundingAre you an experienced Project Manager looking for a new challenged with an established and market leading company? This could be your chanceWe have an exciting opportunity to join a large multi-disciplinary UK wide consultancy out of their Southampton office, working in a thriving office and part of an established team. They are a UK leading engineering, building, infrastructure and fit-out organisation, delivering vital projects across a range of sectorsYou will be joining the Engineering team as a Senior Project Manager, with the main duty of overseeing M&E installations and working on some very prestigious and exciting projects.What you will be doingManage all Engineering Services activities in line with the company IPCD.
Ensure the safe and efficient execution of the project in line with company IPCD.
Oversee all Engineering Services activities in line with the Project Process Document.
Manage the resources on the project on a day to day basis and to report any staff issues as appropriate.
Manage project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
To identify the clients requirements and ensure we deliver these requirements to the clients’ satisfaction.
To represent the company on any internal or external issues.
Prepare detailed plans and procedures to administer the project and ensure the project team are familiar with and follow these guidelines.
Manage all project reporting is provided upstream and downstream on a timely manner.
Regularly audit the project to ensure compliance.
Communicate with the project team regularly on project specific matters and company initiatives.
Oversee the project cash flow is positive throughout the life of the project.
Manage the design, procurement, installation and Commissioning to achieve best value for Engineering Services.
Identify all risks and manage actions and implementation to mitigate such risks.What we will need from youA multi discipline senior project manager with experience of working on projects of £10m
Track record of managing a project team to reach completion within budget and to programme.
Programme production and management
Ability to interpret the requirements of the specification
Resolve any technical queries during the contract
Managing procurement, labour and sub-contractors.
Leading in managing variation accounts
Leading in preparing monthly applications
Construction management and liaising with supervision team
Site operations – installation and commissioning
Maintaining good working relationships with the client and professional team.
Stakeholder engagement and management
Controlling contract costs and variations.
Value engineering projects to create cost savings.
Coordinating M&E Services installations
All health and safety requirements during the contract including compiling method statements and risk asessments
Compilation and presentation of Operating & Maintenance Manuals
Contract values ranging from £5m and above
Healthcare experienceSkills and QualificationsDegree: BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering – preferable
BTEC HND Building Services – preferable
BTEC: HNC Building Services – essential
BTEC: ONC Building Services -essential
CSCS card – essential
SMSTS course – essential
