Senior Research Associate in Genetic Epidemiology

The roleWe are seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher with expertise in genetic epidemiology and an interest in using genetic data to explore the causal relationships for health outcomes of common skin disorders (eczema and acne). You will join a thriving research environment in this collaborative project.What will you be doing?This project will include the use of Mendelian Randomization, molecular mediation analysis and comparisons of diverse ancestry groups to understand the causal relationships between skin disorders, eczema and acne, and mental health and neurodevelopmental outcomes. The successful candidate will be based in the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU) at the University of Bristol and will work closely with collaborators based at King’s College London (KCL) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). You will benefit from the multi-disciplinary research environment of the MRC IEU and have access to various training and career development opportunities.You should apply ifThe successful applicant will have a strong background in genetic epidemiology with experience in data analysis and will be qualified to PhD level (or with equivalent experience).
