Joining Collibra’s Test Engineering team
- You will take part in testing activities in the Scrum Team and assist in the successful execution of testing strategies.
- You will develop and promote the testing knowledge within an Agile team and provide the needed help and assistance in enabling developers to test.
- You will share your experience on a variety of testing tools relevant to our business environment and drive experimentation towards further improvements.
- You will define and maintain metrics and promote testing awareness within Engineering.
- You will promote a shift-left approach in testing across Engineering.
- You will drive Test Data definition and develop scalable frameworks and tools to solve problems.
- This is a full time employment position. As of this time, we are not considering freelance or B2B arrangements for this role.
SDET, Test Engineering at Collibra are responsible for
- Reviewing requirement specifications and user stories to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Designing, development and execution of automation scripts and Test Automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, etc).
- Working on the continuous integration of your scripts (Jenkins) and driving the team on the way towards continuous testing.
- Identifying, documenting and tracking issues.
- Working closely with Software/Test Engineers and Product Managers across the organization to understand the context and drive automation and testing to meet objectives.
- Taking part in exploratory testing and test design sessions – to help in improving the overall product quality.
- Acquiring a deep understanding of the domain and approach testing holistically, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Have a critical mindset to discern what to automate and what not to, strategically sampling critical tests with a focus on balancing risk, cost, and value.
- Coach developers and other SDETs.
- K8s and Helm charts.
You have
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Test Automation.
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools (JIRA or similar) and processes.
- Experience in Java and/or TypeScript and hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, etc.).
- Experience with DevOps, Gradle, Jenkins and Docker.
- Good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with fellow co-workers.
- Ability to identify flaws in the testing process, toolset, infrastructure and to propose and drive necessary improvements.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
- You must have work authorization to work in Poland.
You are
- Experienced in building Test Automation Frameworks and in continuous delivery/continuous testing environment.
- Experienced in building/maintaining CICD pipelines.
- Experienced in working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Able to identify testing and quality challenges.
- Able to create innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
- A person with great communication skills and who enjoys collaborating with fellow co-worker.
- Able to combine automation skills with manual part of testing (Exploratory).
- Able to think independently with curiosity, criticism and keen attention to details.
- Well organized and accustomed to an innovative environment.
Measures of success are
- Within your first month, you will complete your onboarding and all the mandatory learnings, whilst becoming familiar with the product, tech stack and test frameworks.
- Within your third month, you will be actively contributing to the test processes and improvements to test coverage.
- Within your sixth month, you will own test projects and be driving the team on quality improvements.
