JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for technical sales support, training and design applications of specific water-based fire protection systems for our customer base supported from one of our branches in Europe. The technical services specialist is in direct contact with customers and/or via first line customer support in Tyco Fire Protection Products sales organization. The specialist will deliver technical trainings within his field of expertise as required. Employee will gain exposure to the various types of fire protection systems utilized within the industry today. The specialist will be introduced to design software as well as nationally recognized design and installation standards.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide Technical & Specification Support to CustomersSupport the full product range of Water based Fire protection Systems (Sprinkler and Watermist)Build and deliver Trainings for customers and internal employeeProvide Design Services and Engineering of typical system solutionsProvide advice and support projects by applying Tyco solutions according to international codes & standards (such as NFPA, FM, EN, VdS)Write Technical letters/statements on customer requests for specific issues and solutionsOn request field support for solving technical issuesSKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Customer focusedProblem-solver, self-starter and data and analytics driven by natureAbility to quickly grasp and distinctly explain relevant technological and business concepts that impact our businessGeneral knowledge of the Fire Protection Engineering principals (both Sprinkler and Watermist) and awareness of currents industryUnderstanding and application of the applicable standards such as NFPA13/20/750 and EN12845/14972Superior written and spoken English & German communication skills and excellent listening skills are a mustStrong, positive interpersonal skills and presentation skillsDetail-oriented, particularly with respect to managing customer satisfactionWell-versed in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and OutlookProficient in the use of SprinkCAD and/or AutoCADSalesforce.com & SAP experience is desirableADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Willing to travel (inter)nationalWilling to give training, customer facingsTechnical Required Experience:A bachelor’s degree in general engineering or similar background through education or experience.Good verbal and written command of the English and German languageExperience in CAD softwareWorked with designing and engineering in Sprinkler and Watermist systemsCreation and understanding of piping lay-outsFacilitate hydraulic calculations#LI-GV1
