Senior System & Software Architect (AUTOSAR / Telematics)

Location: 100% Remote
Travel Requirement: Initial 3-week onsite onboarding and discovery phase in Romania (all travel and accommodation expenses paid by the client)

We are seeking experienced System & Software Architects to lead the design and integration of next-generation automotive ECU platforms. This role focuses on AUTOSAR-based architecture, telematics, ECU integration, and the successful incorporation of complex third-party components within a mixed AUTOSAR and Linux environment.

The successful candidates will take ownership of system and software architecture decisions, work closely with OEM and Tier-1 stakeholders, and help deliver advanced connected vehicle solutions.

Key Responsibilities

-Define and maintain system and software architecture for automotive ECUs.
-Design and review AUTOSAR Classic architectures, including:

-Basic Software (BSW)
-Software Components (SWCs)
-Runtime Environment (RTE)
-Inter-OS-Application Communication (IOC)
-Application Layer
-Architect solutions spanning AUTOSAR and Embedded Linux domains.
-Lead ECU integration activities across software, middleware, and hardware layers.
-Define communication architectures using CAN, Ethernet, and connectivity stacks.
-Support telematics and connected vehicle functions, including TCU-related architectures.
-Drive the integration of complex third-party software and hardware components.
-Participate in technical reviews and customer-facing architecture discussions.
-Support compliance with automotive development processes and standards.
Mandatory Skills & Experience

AUTOSAR Architecture

-Strong expertise in AUTOSAR Classic Platform, including:

-BSW
-SWC design
-RTE
-IOC
-Application software architecture
-Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR integration and configuration.
Embedded Systems

-Strong experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto.
-Proven experience in automotive ECU software development and integration.
-Experience working within an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment.
Connectivity & Networking

-Strong knowledge of:

-CAN
-Ethernet
-Automotive connectivity stacks
-Communication architecture design
Telematics

-Experience with telematics and connected
