Senior Technical Consultant (Paris, Hybrid)
We are looking for someone who will provide support and training for the process design and simulation applications in the AVEVA portfolio.
You will be responsible for solving technical issues and managing the relationship with customers who use the AVEVA process simulation software applications. You will work within a highly skilled team of process engineering professionals who share responsibility for supporting the European market.
Support customers in their day-to-day activities when using AVEVA process simulation tools:
o Respond to customer product inquiries.
o Resolve customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance or product application or compatibility matters.
o Troubleshoot client problems and recommends corrective action.
o Document customer information and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development.
Manage Customer Relationships:
o Meet with customers to discuss AVEVA products and services in a professional manner.
o Participate in the development of productive client relationships to enhance the free exchange of information relevant to AVEVA’s business goals.
o Proactively develop customer relationships and maintains regular client contact to ensure issues are dealt with effectively and quickly.
Delivers Training Courses:
o Make use of training material to match the potential applications of customers.
o Conduct training courses and presentations in a style which is clear and effective.
Assist colleagues in Sales, Marketing & Development:
o Participate in trade shows and exhibitions as agreed with Sales & Marketing, dealing with people in a confident and relaxed manner.
o Make use of technical literature and presentations on AVEVA products and services to highlight their advantages and benefits to existing and potential customers.
o Review product functional specifications when requested and participates in software testing
o Represent AVEVA at external technical meetings regarding the application and use of AVEVA products as requested.
Achieve operational effectiveness:
o Plan and reports activities using established tools and formats.
o Maintain a strong personal knowledge in the core technologies as required to support the sales of all AVEVA products and services.
o Continuously develop expertise to enable discussion of modelling aspects related to classical process simulation; e.g. distillation, reaction modelling, thermodynamics, etc.
Skills and Experience:
o Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (minimum requirement). Higher level degrees are an advantage.
o Experience working in the process industries; either in design, operations or consultancy is highly desirable. Applications from graduates are also welcome as we offer an intensive induction training.
o Familiarity with the use of process simulation tools in industry an advantage.
o Fluent French & advanced English language skills.
o Good communication skills (internal & external).
o Programming skills an advantage.
o Ability to travel to client locations required.
