• Increase our success in preventing homelessness.
• End our use of hotels and shared temporary accommodation for families.
• Reduce our use of and spend on Temporary Accommodation.

The cost of Temporary Accommodation is a significant financial challenge for the Council.This new role creates additional leadership capacity to:

• Lead a team that provides oversight and drives continuous improvement to deliver high quality services across Housing Options
• Provide leadership in the development, promotion and successful implementation of service development initiatives across Housing Options, which support the Council’s Homelessness Strategy.
