Our client is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their expanding team and business in the York (north yorkshire area)For this role you will be:

• Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing service team to deliver outstanding customer service while achieving set goals.
• Effectively manage resources to maximize workshop efficiency and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Supervise booking schedules to maintain proper workshop allocation and ensure efficient time management.
• Drive revenue growth by promoting additional services and products to customers.
• Analyze financial goals and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and addressing any concerns with the Head of Business as needed.
• Respond to customer complaints swiftly and professionally, ensuring fair resolutions and taking corrective actions to prevent future issues.
• Promote a team culture that values high performance, accountability, and excellence.

For this role you will need:

• Demonstrated success in a Service Manager role within the automotive sector.
• Proven track record of guiding, mentoring, and building high-performing teams to surpass objectives.
• A customer-focused mindset with the capability to foster a culture of ongoing improvement.
• Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and core service processes in the automotive field.
• Outstanding leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve goals.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong dedication to maintaining top-notch service quality.
• Possession of a valid driving license with no major infractions.
• Prior experience managing an automotive service department or aftersales operation is a must.
