EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:Essential Qualifications/Experience:· SharePoint Administration: Proficient in all aspects of SharePoint administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
· Infrastructure Management: Ability to manage and optimize the SharePoint farm infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network components
· Security Management: Knowledge of SharePoint security best practices, including user permissions, authentication, and data encryption
· Backup and Recovery: Experience in implementing and managing robust backup and recovery strategies for SharePoint environments
· Performance Tuning: Skill in monitoring and optimizing the performance of SharePoint farms to ensure optimal user experience
· Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating routine tasks and configurations in SharePoint
· Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with other collaboration tools and technologies that integrate with SharePoint, such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive
· Documentation: Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SharePoint farm configurations, processes, and procedures
· SharePoint Architecture: In-depth understanding of SharePoint architecture, including web applications, service applications, and the underlying database structure
· SharePoint Versions: Knowledge of different versions of SharePoint, with a focus on the latest releases and updates
· Integration: Understanding of how SharePoint integrates with other Microsoft products, such as Exchange, Active Directory, and SQL Server
· Compliance and Governance: Awareness of compliance and governance requirements related to data stored in SharePoint, including industry-specific regulations
· Patch Management: Knowledge of patch management for SharePoint, including the timely application of updates and service packs
· User Experience: Understanding of user experience principles
· Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools to track the health and performance of the SharePoint farm
· Installation and Configuration: Hands-on experience in installing and configuring SharePoint farms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
· Migration: Experience in planning and executing SharePoint migrations, including content migration and version upgrades
· Troubleshooting: Proven experience in identifying and resolving issues in SharePoint farms, ranging from server errors to user access problems
· Capacity Planning: Experience in capacity planning to ensure the SharePoint farm can scale to meet the organization’s growing needs
· Collaboration: Previous involvement in collaborative projects, working closely with developers, system administrators, and endusers
· Upgrades and Updates: Successful execution of SharePoint version upgrades and applying updates to keep the environment secure and up to date
· Training and Support: Providing training and support to endusers and IT staff on SharePoint best practices, features, and troubleshooting techniques
· Experience in deploying Web Platforms on public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc)DUTIES/ROLE:
· Act as Web Hosting Service subject matter expert (SME), manage, and implement changes all underlying technical services
· Installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating and maintaining large SharePoint web platform systems
· Liaise with the customer to identify required changes to the business functions of Web Hosting services and then implement changes within the agreed time scale
· Provide L3 support to PLT003 Webhosting Service
· Undertake fault finding as dictated by the sections trouble ticket system
· Undertake activities lifecycle management of Web Platforms as directed by the PLT003 Service Delivery manager
· Analyse, implement, and update processes so as to ensure NISC goals are met
· Perform daily work on the system to ensure platform stability and backend consistency
