We foster a teamwork culture with room for individual developmentPlease visit .About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Engineer to join our EMEA Simcenter Customer Support organization. The aim of the role is to provide technical advice in all aspects of engineering analysis to our clients using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and other simulation tools from the Simcenter portfolio across a wide range of industry sectors.This position is an opportunity to be at the forefront of our clients´ innovative usage of simulation within industrial and research environments. You will be operating in various sectors, such as Aerospace, Energy, Automotive and Marine, with a special focus on CFD vehicle aerodynamics.The Application Support Engineer is expected to work closely with current and potential customers in order to understand their engineering processes and propose solution methodologies and best practices to help them meet their development objectives.If you are creative, an independent thinker who likes to take the initiative and wants to be involved in cutting edge CAE technology then this is an excellent opportunity for you.This position will be based in Wroclaw, Poland. Hybrid working is available.Area of responsibility

• Using all aspects of CFD: CAD handling, meshing, solving, complex physics modelling, post-processing, coupling to other codes.
• Following and using the new modelling techniques and features introduced in each release of Simcenter STAR-CCM+, finding new application areas and creating new simulation examples.
• Conducting training courses and customised mentoring.
• Conducting product demonstrations for a broad range of applications.
• Interacting with customers remotely or in their offices across Europe to develop a deep understanding of their challenges & assist them with their projects.
• Crafting engineering solutions to fix or improve the customers’ CAE workflow and results – in performance, accuracy, and robustness.
• Inspiring and enabling the use of automated design space exploration and optimisation.
• Presenting our technology at seminars and conferences.
• Present and advocate customer enhancements to product management.

Your qualifications

• Msc/PhD in Engineering, preferably with the Fluids Mechanics background
• Proven experience in non-academic CFD applications using Simcenter STAR-CCM+ or other commercial / open source CFD codes
• Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
• Passion for acquiring, developing and disseminating knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in French would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming would be an desirable,
• As would knowledge of FEA tools (such as Simcenter 3D or equivalent) and/or 1D System Simulation tools (such as Simcenter Amesim or equivalent).
