Dematic has an exciting opportunity for a Simulation Consultant. In this position, you will be accountable for the implementation and configuration of computer-based material handling simulation models, to an agreed specification and time scale. Simulation analyses complex system solutions and helps to optimize them. You will contribute to project success significantly by validating required throughput and verifying concepts and strategies.What we offer:The opportunity to join a professional, friendly team and work on the following:

• Support of sales and engineering with computer simulation of automated material handling systems
• Processing of simulation requests and specification of simulation scope
• Planning and execution of simulation projects with focus on quality, costs, and schedule
• Analysis and preparation of customer data for simulation
• Development of creative solutions, implementation of complex strategies
• Interpretation, documentation and presentation of results
• Active member and support of project simulation teams
• Cooperation with related departments and customers

Tasks and Qualifications:

• Academic degree in engineering, mathematics, technology or science
• Analytical thinking, creativity, intuition for feasible and economic solutions
• Experience in programming and software design
• Team player, communication, problem solving skills, customer focus
• Continuous personal improvement
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Italian
• French or Spanish language skills are an advantage
• Experience in simulation modelling (ideally with AutoMod) is an advantage
• Knowledge of intralogistics equipment and solutions is an advantage
• Occasional travel throughout Europe and overseas to meet with customers and colleagues
