Job Views 6DescriptionI’m working with a well-established contractor who are due to start construction on a major high-rise student accommodation scheme in Central Manchester. This is a 30+ storey project with a substantial reinforced concrete frame package, and they’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on the RC frame phase.The Role
You’ll be responsible for driving the RC frame delivery on site – including early civils, piling, ground beams, and vertical structure through to topping out. The role requires strong coordination, a proactive approach to health & safety, and the ability to keep subcontractors aligned with programme and quality targets.

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the reinforced concrete frame, from piling to superstructure
• Coordinate subcontractors for rebar, formwork, concrete pours, and temporary works
• Enforce high standards of health & safety, RAMS, permits and site compliance
• Work with the engineering team on setting out, QA, and technical challenges
• Oversee progress vs programme and report into the Project Manager
• Drive quality control, snagging, and early handover of sections
• Manage logistics, crane operations, and concrete sequencing

Experience

• Previous experience managing RC frames on high-rise projects (ideally 20+ storeys)
• Solid understanding of piling, deep excavations, and groundworks
• Excellent site-based health & safety awareness – SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid required
• Strong coordination skills with subcontractors, engineers, and wider delivery teams
• Able to read drawings, identify issues early, and maintain site momentum
