.Net Software DeveloperLocation: This position is largely remote with occasional travel. We have offices in Kent, Cambridgeshire, Manchester, Stoke-On-Trent, Sunderland and Chesterfield. This position is hybrid.Role Purpose:As a .NET developer in a Scrum agile environment, you will analyse, develop, and test technology, guiding software advancement for PSL and its affiliates. You will manage all aspects of development, communicate effectively with other business areas to achieve project objectives, and support the team’s sprints.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver systems at the appropriate level.
• Write unit tests and assist in testing planning.
• Create design proposals with the scrum team.
• Enhance software development best practices.
• Provide progress updates daily.
• Ensure compliance with controls.
• Adapt to changing needs and fill in for other roles.
• Establish rapport with users.
• Support existing PSL systems.
• Assist in sprint planning and delivery.
• Estimate development effort reliably.
• Follow best practices for minimal defects.
• Contribute to design and analysis.
• Follow business processes. Enhance technical skills.
• Improve efficiency in PSL scrums.

About you:

• Proficient software developer with expertise in C#, .Net Framework and .Net Core (6+), web services (REST and SOAP), software architecture, Git and SCM (e.g. Azure DevOps) and Entity Framework or similar technologies (Vue.js, Visual Studio or MS SQL Server)
• Experienced in SDLC, agile methodologies, and assisting team members.
• Familiar with programming methods, IT industry, and adaptable to change.

Desirable:

• Docker/k8s experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry (preferably personal lines).
• Experience with Postman for API testing.
• Experience of work management tools such as Jira.
