Summary:

The Generative AI Org at Meta is seeking a strong technical leader to join our team and work on the next generation of Llama models. As a technical leader of our team, you will play a critical role in building state of the art LLMs. We have the opportunity to help people everywhere get stuff done better and faster. This year we open sourced Llama 2 and launched Meta AI. We will continue investing here to improve model quality and model capabilities.

Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager (Generative AI) Responsibilities:

1. Grow a team of domain experts within LLM Research of Generative AI

2. Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization

3. Drive execution of developing models and systems

4. Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects

5. Remain up-to-date on ongoing research and development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Experience in leading research projects

7. Extensive hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and Transformer modeling, in the setting of both research and engineering development

8. Extensive experience supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientists

9. Proven technical vision in where the field of generative AI

10. Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions

11. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management

12. PhD in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical field

13. Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
