This is a fantastic leadership (Software Project Lead) opportunity, which involves leading a team to deliver embedded software on time, on cost and on quality!Salary: up to £70,000 depending on experienceDynamic (hybrid) working: typically 4 to 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classificationSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenshipRestrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. We are looking for a Software Project Lead (SPL) who can build high-performing teams and create strong working relations with the multidiscipline project environments. These project environments include financial & budget control, system design, electronic design, safety, security & quality.Proven ability to technical manage a team of software developers (typically 5 to 10 engineers)A proven record of managing a software budget and have the confidence to control change to the requirements and costs, against an agreed estimate/budgetUnderstanding of UML and C, C++ and/or Ada Languages.Project management skills to ensure good planning, delivery and cost control of softwareA good understanding of software and the software development lifecycle including configuration management tools and techniques, to be able to provide effective oversight.The ability to elicit and understand requirements and available design solutions so that you can produce accurate and cost effective estimates of work to be undertaken.Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a givenMBDA is a leading defence organisation.
