We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sous Chef to join our client’s team and help create exceptional dining experiences for their guests. Working in partnership with an outstanding Head chef with an impressive background curated in many highly regarded properties across Ireland, you will bring your creative flair and passion for delivering exception food to life in this permanent role.About the employer:

As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the kitchens, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest culinary standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hotel experience to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of a thriving establishment.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in planning and delivering innovative menus.
• Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality.
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control.
• Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Take the lead in the Head Chef’s absence.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of modern culinary techniques and Irish cuisine.
• Passion for creating outstanding food using fresh, local ingredients.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Chefs with an Asian/Fusion background or Italian culinary background are highly sought after.
