As a Specialist Embedded Engineer, you will be involved in multidisciplinary innovation projects, applying your technical skills while also supporting your colleagues with your experience. You’ll be the go-to expert for complex and challenging projects, collaborating with colleagues from other business areas. You will report to the Chief of Technology.Main areas of activity:
Lead engineering, prototyping, or product development projects, estimate effort, and plan resources within your field of expertise.
Support project initiatives, ensuring that development milestones and deadlines are met.
Actively participate in cross-functional teams.
Support quality or functional safety assessment activities.
Define and support system validation strategies.
Identify, qualify, and manage external suppliers.
Design and develop high-performance software for multi-platform systems and products, leveraging a strong understanding of embedded hardware design.
Prepare product technical documentation.Required background and technical skills:Technical competencies:
Proven long-term experience in embedded software development.
Deep practical knowledge of ANSI C, C++, and assembly language.
Proven experience with various microcontroller/processor families.
Practical knowledge of key failure control and mitigation measures in safety-related systems.
Knowledge of higher-level programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python) is a plus.
Good working knowledge of Linux environments on embedded platforms is a plus.
Understanding of V-Model-based development processes.
Experience with functional safety standards (IEC-61508, ISO-26262, ISO-13849) is a plus.
Proven experience working with real-time operating systems.Tools:
Excellent proficiency with the most widely used IDE toolchains.
Strong practical knowledge of version control tools (Git).
Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.Other skills and requirements:
Education: Master’s degree or PhD in Electronic/Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent scientific qualification.
Work experience: More than six years of experience in a similar position or with similar responsibilities, including at least one year in a technical team lead role in industrial manufacturing, R&D, quality assurance, or a related field.
Languages: English (B2); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Personal skills: Ability to lead highly skilled engineering teams, strong attitude to collaborative problem solving, self-learning abilities, attitude towards personal responsibility assumption, strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization, high passion for software engineering and embedded systems, extreme attention to detais.
