Do you have a background in sport science and are interested in working in an applied sport science environment? If so, we are looking for a Sport Science Technician to join the team within our state-of-the-art Human Performance Centre.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of activities, including maintaining and calibrating sport science equipment; supporting undergraduate and postgraduate practical activities and data collection; assisting with consultancy work; helping with research and scholarship activities; and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Human Performance Centre.

We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest and/or expertise in the area of Sport and Exercise Physiology.

The School of Sport and Exercise Science was established in 2006 and now delivers a number of highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate multidisciplinary programmes, and has a small but thriving postgraduate research community. Key priorities within the School are teaching and research, however the School is ambitious to develop its enterprise and consultancy activities. The School provides an excellent teaching environment that is facilitated by our Human Performance Centre, a dedicated facility for applied sport and exercise science teaching and research, which includes Physiology and Biomechanics Laboratories, a dedicated Strength and Conditioning Suite and a Sports Therapy Teaching Space & Clinic.

As one of the largest employers in the city, the University of Lincoln offers exciting career opportunities with the chance to grow and develop to reach your full potential. We also offer a wide range of staff benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance of 30 days per year pro rata (plus an additional 14 bank holiday and concessionary days), progressive pay rates, access to discount at popular stores and more.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Simon George, College Technical Manager, at [email protected] .
