About the role 

Staffordshire University is looking for a proactive, customer focused individual to join our busy Schools & Colleges team. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of our UK Undergraduate recruitment strategy through the delivery of engaging talks and workshops in schools and colleges and delivery of on-campus events and projects. 

The role will work with a range of audiences and age groups to inform, support, and prepare prospective students with their journey to Higher Education and sharing the opportunities available here at Staffordshire University. The role is key in supporting the university to hit student recruitment growth targets, so will involve working to targets using key performance indicators. This will be achieved through account management and managing projects.  

Main Responsibilities 

The main responsibility for our Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer will be to work collaboratively with Schools & Colleges to support students with attainment to higher education. To grow engagement and applications from schools and colleges within the identified region and to build effective relationships with teachers, advisers and senior staff across schools and colleges. 

The officer will be responsible for a specific UK region, this role will account manage the North West but national travel will be expected at certain times of the year so the ability to work flexibly is essential. 

We are looking for applicants who are engaging, excellent communicators with the ability to persuade and influence and who are confident working on their own initiative. The role holder will need to be adaptable and self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills. 

Previous experience of outreach and recruitment work within the education sector is essential, as is knowledge of the UCAS cycle and processes. Due to the nature of this role and extensive travel, a full UK driving licence is required
