Salary: Grade 5 (£25,742 – £29,605 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you enthusiastic, highly organised and versatile, with a strong customer service orientated? Can you manage multiple tasks at the same time and maintain attention to detail? Are you confident and personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills?  

You will join our friendly Support Worker Team and undertake a range of activities relating to the provision of non-medical support services for disabled students. Reporting to the Support Worker Team Manager, you will be responsible for key administrative processes and coordinating support schemes to deliver support to students. 

A key aspect of your role will be the scheduling of support provision by matching support worker availability to student needs, preparing, timetabling and distributing schedules (including arranging for shifts to be covered at short notice). You will also liaise with students, staff and funding bodies to resolve queries and concerns about support provision, manage and maintain detailed records related to provision of non-medical support and financial and regulatory information including the Disabled Students Allowance, and respond to a high volume of correspondence.

You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a flexible and organised approach with the ability to plan ahead, meet deadlines and respond to changes at short notice. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is also essential.
