Our Formulation & Materials Science Department in Geneva is looking for a:

Student intern in physical chemistry

for a 6 months assignment starting as of November 2024.

The work consists in investigation of effect of surface active non-volatile molecules on flagrance evaporation profile. Development of synergistic mixtures for controlled fragrance release. Formulation and investigation of the physico-chemical parameters driving the desired fragrance performance profile.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate fragrance delivery solutions/technologies
• Use GC-MS analysis to study the fragrance evaporation
• Report work progress during project review meetings
• Provide clear documentation of the procedure and techniques used

Your bring

• Master student in physical chemistry / soft matter physics
• Basic knowledge in surfactant systems, interfacial physics, solubilization, mass transfer and evaporation kinetics
• Knowledge of following experimental methods is appreciated: rheology, gas chromatography, light-scattering, microscopy
• Curious, dynamic
• Motivated with good communication skills

Pre-requisites:

• This internship offer only applies to currently registered students with an internship agreement
