Salary: 30,400 Euros per annumJOB OVERVIEWThis role is responsible for supporting student wellbeing, welfare, and progression needs. The position focuses on implementing Study Group Ireland and QQI policies, standard operating procedures, and processes to ensure that both staff and students are fully supported, thereby maximizing student outcomes and overall satisfaction.Reporting to the Deputy Director of Student Experience, the role requires working within a matrix structure and fostering strong collaborative relationships with the Student Experience Team, Centre Academic Team, Centre Management Team, central Study Group teams, and the university partner to ensure the seamless operation of the Centre. ABOUT THE ROLE

• Ensure effective case management of all student welfare concerns or information on LDHD, ensuring the safeguarding of students in line with Study Group policy and standard operating procedures.
• Responsibility for the provision of student welfare and safeguarding within the centre and the related administration and secure record-keeping.
• Act as Deputy Designated Liaison Person and monitor the escalation phone in the absence of the Deputy Director Student Experience.
• Create Agreed Support Plans (ASPs), including Safety Plans and Exit Plans, ensuring the necessary approval and escalation processes are followed.
• Organise induction and other wellbeing, enrichment and engagement activities, produce related materials to help develop skills and sense of community Ensure escalation of any concerns to the Deputy Director Student Experience. and Central Student Wellbeing team as required.
• Work collaboratively with teams within DISC to enable a holistic and consistent approach to Welfare Support and to advocate and embed inclusive practice within the classroom.
• Build relationships with the University Partner to ensure a cooperative and collaborative relationship to promote effective engagement to the benefit of students.
• Contribute to developing, communicating and enacting Study Group Irelands’ Student Experience and Wellbeing Strategy, framework, policy and standard operating procedures through the Wellbeing Communities of Practice and DLP meetings.
• Responsibility for the provision of engagement and progression support within the centre and the related administration and secure record-keeping.
• Acting as a personal tutor to deliver Academic Success tutorials and provide 1:1 personal development, academic and progression counselling to students.
• Be a key point of contact for all students and deal professionally and promptly with student enquiries and requests for support, fostering positive relationships with the student body.
• Assist in organising and delivering student events such as induction, transition and enrichment activities.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience to demonstrate ability to work and think independently)
• Higher level safeguarding training.
• Ability to structure your work in order to support student welfare and progression, and generate new ideas which will improve performance
• A strong understanding of Student Support activities and their contribution to the ISC as a whole, or equivalent experience in a similar setting
• A commitment to improve the team’s performance and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members about their work
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across functional areas, adopting a flexible working style.
• Excellent IT and data management skills including competency in Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word, and a willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
