Our laboratories are busy, and we need a student worker to help ensure that our labs are well-equipped and organized.The working hours are between 8-10 hours per week, distributed over two weekdays or one full day, within the timeframe of 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Working hours can be adjusted according to your study schedule. Your workplace will be our site in Hørsholm. Bus 150S runs directly to the door, and bus 500S runs nearby.Sound like something for you? Read more about the job below and apply with your CV as soon as possible.Welcome to Combinatiorial Microbiology (CombiMic among friends)Combinatorial Microbiology consists of three teams: two scientist teams (18 scientists) and one laboratory technician team (12 technicians + 1 intern). One scientist team focuses on bacterial cultures for cheese, while the other works with fresh dairy, meat bioprotection, fermented foods, and plant-based alternatives. The laboratory technician team supports both with experiments for all projects, and this is the main team you will be part of.Your new team values collaboration, open communication, and a strong sense of camaraderie. After a training period, you will be responsible for:

• Restocking laboratory equipment
• Tidying up and cleaning lab equipment
• Waste handling (we aim to sort all plastic and ensure maximum recyclability)
• Assisting with simple ad hoc tasks in the laboratory
• Your tasks will be coordinated continuously with the team leader and laboratory technicians.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a student assistant with laboratory experience and an interest in natural sciences. You can be either a bachelor’s or master’s student – preferably with at least 1 year left of your studies. We highly value independence, a welcoming personality, and social engagement in the department.Additionally, we are looking for someone who:

• Is curious, open-minded, and adaptable
• Has a structured approach to tasks, is quality-conscious, and takes responsibility for their work
• Possesses strong collaboration skills and a flexible mindset
• Speaks and writes English, as we are in an international working environment
